The Omnis Rehabilitation Story

Founded in 2024, Omnis Rehabilitation is dedicated to addressing inequities in access to rehabilitation medicine. The organization was established by Liza Meiksins, a physical therapist with more than 15 years of experience serving patients across the Chicagoland area. Through her clinical work, Dr. Meiksins observed significant disparities in access to medically necessary, and often lifesaving, rehabilitation services—particularly among individuals who are uninsured or who have exhausted their insurance benefits.

For many patients, the cost of out-of-pocket rehabilitation care is prohibitive, ranging from approximately $1,000 for a short course of treatment (3–5 visits) to over $100,000 for extended, complex care. As a result, countless individuals are left without viable options for recovery following injury or illness. Omnis Rehabilitation was created to address this critical gap by delivering high-quality, clinically expert care that is financially accessible, geographically reachable, and culturally responsive.
